Trying to catch up....

Now that there is just too much to post about and not enough space... Here I am again. :) So, I will try to make this short and sweet, but most likely it will be too long and drawn out. I will try to post the events in the order they happened but they might get mixed up because it has been so long.

First on the list- K started 1st grade! So far so good and he still likes it. I was really nervous about the all day eating at school thing because normally he is a very picky eater and I never seem to make the right thing for him to want to eat. I guess that I just give him too many options...

First day of School

I think that the kids are in denial about summer coming to an end... Not me! I love fall and can't wait. Of course after fall comes winter, and that I am not looking forward to. Anyway, the kids had to have some more fun in the water while they could.
I'm surprised she is actually running through it! Usually she will just lay in it and get run over...

Which is what is going on in this picture.

But even the Sponge Bob slip n' slide is second to the Nintendo DS

Lucy the Schnotty (that's just what I call her.. she is part Scotty and Schnauzer... heehee)
So some of you may know about our beloved Ozzy the boxer.... He was in our family for nearly 14 years but sadly we ended up having to put him down. He had a brain tumor that was causing him problems and alot of pain. Well, my family has always had a dog for as long as I can remember and needless to say my Mom started going crazy after about 3 days of not having one around. After lots of looking she finally found Lucy at the pound and went to rescue her. She is about 3 months old and lots of fun!
She always has to be chewing on something! So far her favorite is Flip-Flops...
K and Lucy are best friends! They have a nightly ritual of wrestling and playing tug of war... usually with items that she isn't supposed to have... *sigh*

M's Snail... Gary of course!!!
One night a couple of weekends ago, the kids came home from their Dad's house with M holding a blue cup in her hand. I looked at their dad and nervously asked him what was in the cup.... He smiled and told M to show me her new pet. When I looked down I was relieved to see a huge slimey snail instead of a snake or something comparable. M proceded to tell me that he was her friend and she had to take care of him now.... Apparently they had all been up to Lost Creek fishing and M caught the snail instead. For as girly as she can be, she surprises me with her love for all things slimey and gross. Anyway, M continued to tell me she named him Gary and he was sleeping in her room. I couldn't stop laughing at her seriousness and the name that she picked. I never knew that Spongebob was so influencial.... I was able to talk M into letting me put Gary in a mason jar with some weeds and water and he lived this way for quite some time. After about 10 days of Gary's new life, I started to get worried that I was going to have a hysterical little girl when she no longer saw her new pet alive. I had a long talk with her and we decided that it was time to set Gary back to the wild, or in this case the backyard.

Well... that pretty much covers it in a nutshell....

Memory of you....

Here's how you do it-

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

My Future Blogger!!

M has really gotten into the whole computer thing lately.... She loves Feeding Frenzy, Zuma, Peggle, and playing Pet Shop with her Grandma and K.

K's Bday!

Today is K's B-day and we had a blast! I let him plan everything for us to do so we ended up at McDonald's for lunch, then we went and saw Kung-Fu Panda, had breakfast for dinner (bacon, french toast, hashbrown's, and eggs) and had Arctic Circle sundae's for dessert! YUM! We had a big celebration on this past Saturday with all the family where he got completely spoiled! I'm glad that he will have a memorable 6th bday. I can't believe that he is six... and even more, he is already starting the 1st grade next Monday! I'm still trying to get used to this year around school schedule...
K got a Spider Man swim set that included goggles, flippers, and webbed hands

4th of July!

This year we went to the Layton 4th of July celebration. So we did the parade thing in the morning then walked around to some of the fun booths. The kids really enjoyed themselves. Of course their favorite part was all the candy they got. :)

Okay... so I know that K's eyes are closed, but we couldn't get a good pic of all of us. I don't think I will ever have a Tiger's Blood snowcone like that again! It was very juicy and yummy!

I had to put this picture on here because of M's face!!! She can be so pouty! Gotta love those lips and cheeks!! She is with her grandma, cousin Kylea, and cousin Porter.

There we go, that's the smile I love!

A week of memories

The last week and a half has been pretty full with things that were ending..... K was pretty sad about all the fun things that were going to be done. First off was baseball. Luckily he got to play his last game against one of his close friends from school. I'm really going to miss watching him out on the field. It was something that I enjoyed as much as he did.

One last cheer... GO ATHLETICS!!!

Then was the last week of school! I can't believe that K is done with Kindergarten already! Wow, what a fast year! The teachers had a big week planned for them. But I think that the most memorable for K was Zoo day! I along with my mom and M were able to go enjoy the fun with him.

WATER FIGHT!!!!

The other day I was half paying attention to what the kids were saying when I heard M exclaim "Whatever, Boys! I can't die!" At first I just smiled and kept on with what I was doing. Then after hearing squeals of delight and giggling, I decided I better check out what was going on outside. The scene was pretty funny. K and his cousin J had decided to grab water guns and have a water fight and had apparently forgotten about the big one. I looked out in time to see M running towards them with the super soaker! It was really funny to watch them scramble for cover from her.

Well I guess with no more school it leaves more time for the real summer fun!!

My beautiful Cinderella

Lately M's favorite thing is telling everyone that she is not "M", she is beautiful M-Cinderella! She likes to switch between being herself and Cinderella depending on her mood and whether she knows she is in trouble or not. Apparently she has gotten too smart and assumes that when she has done something wrong, if she is "Cinderella" then she won't get in trouble. *SIGH* I honestly don't know where she has come from sometimes! M is my prissy-girlie-girl! She has to be in dresses or a costume dress any chance that she gets, loves make-up, chocolate, and princesses! I know I am in trouble!

Swing Batter Batter!

As a kid I remember one of the fist signs of summer was when we would spend our evenings at the baseball field. I used to love playing and watching my brothers play... It is now my turn to be the mom on the sidelines cheering on my little slugger! K had his first Tee-ball game on Wednesday! I was so excited to see him all decked out in his cute Athletics's shirt, hat, cleats, and baseball glove! Unfortunately we do live in Utah land of guess the weather, and it was freezing!!! Oh well, it was still a fun experience. And as any proud parent does, I have to brag... K hit the ball on the first pitch!

Where has the time went?

Have you ever looked back at the last few years and wondered "How the heck did I get here?" I seem to be asking myself that question alot lately...

This year has been full of changes and realizations:
- I am the luckiest person alive for the wonderful family and friends and I have! (The picture is me, one my best friends Delaware, and another good friend C.)
- I have the cutest, funniest, and most wonderful kids! Yes, I am biased... but look at them! AWW!
- WOW! I am getting old... I know, I know... 29 is the magical year that everyone claims to be as we age!
I could go on and on, but people are supposed to want to read this....

Anyway, in a nutshell I am really excited to move on with life and what ever that may bring me this year. As one of the great actors of this century is often heard saying "I'M READY, I'M READY!" (Sponge Bob in case you had to ask!)
